5/56 Steering Committee Meeting and Open House Scheduled for June 26
The next Steering Committee Meeting will be held at the Carmel Valley Middle School Performing Arts Center on June 26, 2008 from 2:30-4:00 p.m. In addition, a Public Meeting will be held from 6:00-8:00p.m. at the same location. The Public Meeting will be held in an Open House format allowing residents, business owners and the interested public to ask questions and give comments regarding project alternatives and issues. An agenda for the Steering Committee Meeting will be sent out in advance of the meeting.

Community Public Transit Survey Shows Overwhelming Support for Public Transit On Del Mar Heights Road
The Torrey Pines Community Planning Board presented the results of its local transit survey at the Board's regular meeting on September 13. Representatives from MTS and NCTD attended the meeting. Survey Results
Carmel Valley Road Enhancement Project Concludes
A ceremony celebrating the progress on Carmel Valley Road took place August 30, 2007 at Torrey Pines State Beach Park a little over a year after the 2006 groundbreaking ceremony.
Improvements include Class II bike lanes, a sidewalk on the north side, additional parking, new road surface, additional lighting, installation of new curb and gutters, new storm drains and landscaping.
The total cost of the project (construction, design, engineering, etc.) is expected to be $7,366,833. Funding sources: $562,000 Torrey Pines DIF and the remaining $6,804,833 funds come from TransNet.
